E-99 Sculptural Earrings

14K Gold earring with a secure catch built into the design.  The earwire springs in and out of the spiral giving added security. The top front of the earring is a flattened area and covers the hole in the ear.  A good earring for travel as it is secure and lightweight.  Measures slightly more than 1 3/4" including the earwire length.

This design is a sculptual, 3 dimensional design that has always reminded me of the jewelry work of the sculptor Calder. Also of the spiral wirework that was done in Africa.   One of my sisters wears this pair constantly; for business, travel, and pleasure.
